elementary OS 0.4 Loki - Preview

The objective of elementary project is to provide an alternative, familiar, user friendly and efficient operating system for people who migrates from Windows and OS X to GNU/Linux. To achieve this goal, elementary combines stable Ubuntu core with a polished desktop environment called Pantheon with nice look and feel. Also, elementary ships common apps like Files, Terminal, Music and Video players to serve day to needs of users. The elementary OS 0.4 Loki, is another milestone in the history of project. This release ships numerous bug fixes and implements several thoroughly examined design schemes to provide a better user experience.

elementary OS 0.4 beta preview

elementary is an Ubuntu based GNU/Linux distribution that comes with custom made desktop environment called Pantheon. Pantheon desktop provides a smooth experience, and in terms of appearance it resembles OS X. elementary OS is known of its powerful Ubuntu base and a beginner friendly user interface. elementary OS 0.4 beta is based on Ubuntu LTS 16.04 and is first development release prior to release of stable version 0.4 with code name Loki. This release comes with fixes for more than 800 issues reported previously and also it implements 20 blueprints.
